Broad complex aromas of fresh berries that include, blackberry and blueberries sit alongside a streak of black plum with a nice hint of coffee on a nicely structured palate. Fresh soft red fruits balanced with blueberries and a touch red currant linger onto a savory finish that is balanced with dusty tannins and acidity that highlights the Columbia Valley AVA terroir in a glass.

WINEMAKER’S NOTES

Part of Washington State’s reputation is built on having world class Merlot, and this bottling is no exception. With September harvest dates, the fruit had a nice extended hang time that allowed us to craft a very balanced wine with beautiful rich flavors while maintaining a great undertone of acidity. The Merlot was fermented with PDM yeast in our stainless-steel upright fermenters. 100% malolactic fermentation was completed in upright stainless-steel tanks.
